Meet Poet Jay Udall

Jay Udall, professor of English at the Woodbridge Campus, recently published poetry in the Sky Island Journal, San Pedro River Review, Cutthroat: A Journal of the Arts, Little Patuxent Review, and Wild Gods: The Ecstatic in Contemporary Poetry and Prose (New Rivers Press, Minnesota State University). Udall authored a total of six books of poetry, and recently released, Because a Fire in Our Heads, which won the  the X.J. Kennedy Poetry Prize (Texas Review Press/Texas A&M University Press, 2018). His previous volume, The Welcome Table, won the New Mexico Book Award. Professor Udall appeared at the Little Patuxent Review release event in Columbia, Md., on January 21, where he read from his work.
