NOVA’s Financial Aid Team Represents in the Southern Region

The Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA) nine-member states held their 2020 Annual Conference this month in Norfolk, Virginia. NOVA’s Director of Financial Aid and Enrollment Support, Joan A. Zanders, served as this year’s Conference Chair!

NOVA was well-represented by Tom Kinback (Associate Director, Campus Operations), Faith Owens, (Assistant Director, Pell Grants & Loans) and Sam Vafaei (Enterprise Risk Manager) presenting well-received expert sessions during the week-long conference, to a record number of attendees from across the southern region of the United States.

Along with NOVA’s Kendra Allen (Associate Director of Financial Aid, Special Programs & Scholarships) and Nichele C. Inboden (Assistant Director of Financial Aid, Training) serving on the SASFAA Conference Committee, and a Conference theme of “Courage, Compassion, Collegiality: A Survivor’s Guide for Uncharted Waters” Joan A. Zanders and the Financial Aid team continue to showcase NOVA on the state and national levels. Great job team!
