Join MEC in the viewing of TEDMED speaker Dorothy Roberts’ talk on the myths of race-based medicine. In this talk Dorothy Roberts, Professor of Africana Studies, and Law & Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania, exposes the myths of race-based medicine. Roberts’ is a recognized international scholar, and social justice advocate. She authored the award winning books, “Killing the Black Body and Shattered Bonds. After the viewing, there will be a paneled discussion with members of the MEC faculty, staff and students to discuss the TEDMED talk, an open the floor for a conversation around African Americans in the field of Medicine. Lunch will be provided for participants
