MEC Community United in Donating Supplies to Northern Virginia Hospitals
The number of COVID-19 cases grows in Virginia, and so does the shortage of medical supplies in Virginia hospitals. It is essential that our first-line healthcare professionals are fully protected against the spread of the virus while treating patients.
To continue fostering the long-standing bond built between NOVA and Northern Virginia Hospitals, MEC is answering the call for donations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). NOVA’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program sent out donations of PPEs to local emergency departments. NOVA’s Nursing program also offered to donate PPEs to area hospitals.
The College’s most significant concern is the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff, and the campus community. President Kress and MEC Provost Nicole Reaves are in full support of sharing resources. MEC is in solidarity with the healthcare professionals in our area who are working hard to stop the spread of COVID-19.
