Open Letter From a Student About Remote Learning
To may whom it concern,
My name is Marie González; I am a first-year student. I am always very active in school, and I’m proud to say that I have a 3.5 GPA so far and want to keep up my GPA, which is why I am contacting you. This pandemic situation has taken all of us by surprise. I am aware that it is not anyone’s fault. However, online classes are hard for many students like me, including the professors, something that none of us signed up for. Since we don’t know how long this pandemic crisis will last, I would like to propose the “pass/fail” grading method. I am looking forward to transferring, maintaining a good GPA is important to me, and online instruction isn’t much help. My professors are amazing, and they are doing everything they can to help the students, but again, something that none of us signed up for, and I can surely say that all of us have had some difficulties. As a school, you are doing an amazing job of protecting your students and staff. The students appreciate it.
Thank you for reading my letter!
-Marie González
