National Student-Athlete Day Scholarships Available

For the last 33 years, the Institute for Sport & Social Justice has celebrated National Student-Athlete Day, April 6 to honor high school and college student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom and in competition.
 
Since 1987, over four million student-athletes have been honored with National Student-Athlete Day certificates. All student-athletes must have earned a 3.0 GPA or better and involved in outreach and community service.
 
At the annual Giant Steps Awards, the Institute for Sport & Social Justice gives a $500 scholarship to a male and a female student-athlete.  
 
Applicants must have demonstrated courage, heroism, triumph in the midst of adversity, community activism through the power of sport and broken-down barriers for those who would otherwise not have had opportunities.
