Capital Project Overview: The Reynolds Building, NOVA-LO

April 13, 2020 / General NOVA News

Facilities Management works tirelessly with college administration to ensure that NOVA’s campuses and buildings are fresh and state-of-the-art places where students want to come and learn. One recent project is the Reynolds Building at NOVA’s Loudoun Campus. This project was begun February 10, 2020. The original 71,742 square foot structure, built in 1972, will undergo a complete renovation. The project’s objectives include a new mechanical system and plumbing upgrades. Facilities Management and Administration worked to ensure that the renovation would meet the future needs and potential growth of the Loudoun Campus.

The renovation of the Reynolds Building offers a unique opportunity to create a new front door to the Loudoun Campus that focuses on a student‐centered environment. Students will be able to schedule classes, access financial aid and find their academic advisor in a ‘one‐stop shop’ arrangement accessed from a central lounge area. The building’s first floor includes classrooms, a sound studio, a bookstore and even a fitness room. The third floor will house administration suites that will connect students and visitors with administrators.
