Topic Description:
Being with high school kids in-person as they are exploring and learning is quite a wonderful experience. They have such energy and curiosity and see the world from all sorts of interesting angles. Even though we are in-person for my IT classes, we use several on-line tools as learning supplements to what we do in the classroom. The combination of in-person interaction, while learning on-line tools, is quite powerful. Nothing replaces face-to-face interaction – until it must be replaced. Since early March, teachers across the Commonwealth of Virginia have been working under the guidance of school districts and the state board of education to figure out how to move school from in-person to on-line.
