Free Mindfulness Webinar for Students, Staff and Faculty
Innovative Educators is hosting a free webinar, The Happiness Trifecta: What COVID-19 Can Teach Us About Happiness & Mindfulness, accessible with your NVCC.edu email. This is an on-demand webinar, meaning it is not live and can be viewed at any time.
According to Innovative Educators, “Participants will explore proven methods for increasing levels of well-being, building resilience and coping with stress (while social distancing); factors shown to positively impact happiness and success.” Presenters Tracy Carreon, Dr. Jignesh Shah and Patricia Graham aim to highlight and address that during uncertain times, individual levels of stress and anxiety are on the rise. This, coupled with less in-person social connection, can have profound effects on individual and collective happiness and well-being. Creating rituals of self-care and habits of well-being can become part of our everyday lives, even after the isolation ends.
Per the hosts of the webinar, you can expect to:
- learn at least one new habit of the mind to improve personal happiness and well-being
- explore a short mindfulness exercise
- discover the physical and psycho/social benefits of gratitude
- improve ability to positively impact those you interact with
- describe at least one easy way improve optimism, gratitude, kindness, or mindfulness in everyday life
