Student Life is Ready for Remote Summer & Ready to #EngageAll!

While we transition into remote summer learning, students still have the opportunity to engage with Student Life through the Virtual Student Union (VSU). This summer, we will be hosting student-centered discussion boards, leadership workshops, social events, community service and more!

Here are three ways YOU can get involved as Faculty & Staff:

  1. Check into the VSU regularly and respond to discussion board topics. Students will appreciate the community building!
  2. Post this sample announcement in your online course to encourage student involvement:
    “Looking to connect with other students outside of the virtual classroom setting? Check out the Virtual Student Union (VSU) and join the Student Life community online. Throughout the space, you have the opportunity to participate in online activities, discussion forums and more! Click the registration link, log in with your MyNOVA credentials, and get started.”
  3. Collaborate with the Student Life Staff. If you have a virtual event proposal that would benefit our student body, please tell us about it! We created an Event Proposal Form to guide the process.
