Stay Vigilant Against Cyber Criminals

Cyber-attacks and cyber threats are in the news almost constantly. Typically, criminals and foreign hackers find the easiest way into a network is through a careless user who falls for their threats or fake orders, clicks their links, gives them login information, passwords or security codes. DO NOT LET THEM IN. Once any one of us lets them in, we are all at risk of losing personal information, having our data held hostage or causing all our emails to be frozen by internet carriers. Colleges and government sites have become prime targets! Be skeptical and remember your security awareness training. It does not matter if it is a college computer, home computer, cell phone or tablet. Once you let them in anywhere, they can get to the rest of us, and it puts all of us at risk! It is especially important to never give out two-factor authentication codes over the phone, it can let a hacker in and give them access to all your logins and passwords.
