Why Can’t Students See My Zoom Meeting Recordings?

Recordings of meetings scheduled through “regular” Zoom do not automatically appear on the Zoom for Canvas Cloud Recordings tab for students to see.

 

If this is your situation, you can share “regular” Zoom recording links, create a page in the course, name it “Lecture Recordings” or similar and copy and paste all of the cloud recording links (and their passwords) onto the page.

There is a better way! Going forward, schedule your class meetings directly in Zoom for Canvas.

This has the benefits of:
a. Automatically putting all cloud recordings of meetings under the Cloud Recordings tab in the course so students can access them easily.
b. Automatically notifying your students of the meeting and meeting link.
c. Automatically adding the meeting as an event on the Canvas Calendar.
