NOVA-AL to Offer Series on Tools and Techniques to Reduce Stress and Boost Creativity

June 18, 2020 / Events

NOVA’s Alexandria Campus Office of Recreation and Wellness will host a four-part series, Tools and Techniques to Reduce Stress and Boost Creativity, Zoom webinar. In this series, we will discuss the stress response and its impact on the body. Each 30-minute class will be devoted to a specific technique to turn down and turn off the damaging effects of stress. We will learn and practice meditation, breathing techniques, body talk with visualization and journaling.

These tools are grounded in the science of stress reduction. The Zoom webinar is led by our own Susan Abramson, who teaches Health and Wellness, Community Health and Yoga at NOVA as an Adjunct Faculty member. She is trained in public health, nutrition, and yoga.

The class is offered FREE of charge.
