The syllabus project that was spearheaded by Dean Jennifer K. Daniels three years ago, and supported by many fellow faculty members and students has led to this essay. It includes several attachments that can be readily used for the first week of syllabus teaching as well as food for thought in terms of syllabus construction and instruction.
