Introducing the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities!

October 8, 2020 / General NOVA News

Guided by NOVA’s commitment to equity, excellence, empathy, evidence and economic and social mobility, the College has realigned several student support areas within the Office of Student Services. These changes are intended to enhance the presence of support services while also strengthening program offerings for students, faculty and staff. The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities (OSRR) provides a safe, inclusive and restorative environment that will nurture all aspects of ethical student development. Promoting an array of resources and education, OSRR supports student rights and civility for those involved in the conduct process. OSRR will continue to aide students with opportunities to advance meaningful relationships and maintain community standards. In alignment with NOVA’s Student Code of Conduct, OSRR officials will review reports of misconduct centrally and determine violations and necessary sanctions.

Steven Mosely and Chevella Wilson currently serve as coordinators of student conduct and academic integrity. Mr. Mosely will support the Annandale, Woodbridge and Manassas campuses. Dr. Wilson will support Alexandria, Loudoun and MEC campuses. Dean Tyson Beale will provide oversight to OSRR.
