NOVA-WO Faculty to Present at AACU STEM Conference 2020
Woodbridge professors Dr. Lawrence Nightingale and Indigo Eriksen are collaborating with Girl Scouts of America to present research findings to presidents, provosts and college executives across the nation on Friday, Nov. 6 at the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AACU). The subject of their research is standing up college makerspaces that are dedicated to female student use.
The session, titled “Fabricating a Single-Sex Female Makerspace for Women to Explore STEM,” will highlight the success stories and narratives that underscore the crucial nature of women’s studies, student-based research and community outreach to underserved populations.
