Join us for Hallowfest, today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.!

Join the MEC Student Life Planning Board for our annual festival of the Fall Season! This is a tradition dear to us as we open our campus to the community/college children and special needs groups to come trick-or-treat, enjoy stories, watch magical entertainment and view our Hallowfest club decorated themed tables. As we work towards One NOVA this season, we’d like to extend the invitation college-wide for our virtual events this year. Children of all ages are welcome to participate!

11 a.m.-Noon – Children’s story time and costume party (you are welcome to share a story of your own as well).

Noon – 1 p.m. – It’s Magic (Magic for Non-Believers!) Join magician Peter Boie for an hour of interactive fun! Make sure to have a deck of cards handy for a magic trick that will happen in your hands! There will be a link to the waiting room on the show page. This link will become active 15 mins before showtime (11:45 a.m.). Please go into the waiting room. The magician will need at least 3 people to help during the show who are willing to be on video. For clarification, the actual show will be streamed live on YouTube. Anyone that is willing to help in the show should also go into the Zoom waiting room. 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. – Our Hallowfest table themed contest is going virtual this year! Groups of two or more are more than welcome to participate. Pick a theme, be creative and have fun with it! You can participate on the live Zoom or take a Zoom gallery picture of your group and submit before 2 p.m. Friday to be entered into the contest.
