NOVA Online Teaching Webinar, Nov. 6
NOVA Online offers a series of webinars to promote best practices in teaching hybrid and online courses throughout a semester. The upcoming webinar in the fall semester is “Pedagogical Strategies: Integrating Instructional Technology to Engage Students in Hybrid and Online Learning” at 11:00 a.m. – Noon on Friday, November 6.
Webinar Description: In an online learning environment, faculty usually face more challenges to engage students in hybrid and online courses. Compared to face-to-face courses, both faculty and students may feel difficult to interact and collaborate in the online learning environment. As the college switched to remote teaching this semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic, more and more faculty may have experienced such challenges. What does meaningful integration of technology in teaching look like? How can faculty get started with some new ideas to innovate learning activities to engage students? The purpose of this webinar is to introduce a useful educational technology integration framework, discuss pedagogical strategies to engage students in the online learning environment, and share ideas and examples to help you integrate technology into your teaching practice. The attendees will gain a better understanding of educational technology integration as well as take away pedagogical strategies to create effective hybrid and online learning experience.
