OWMH Partners with NAMI to Support Virginia Young Adults

November 25, 2020 / General NOVA News

The Office of Wellness and Mental Health (OWMH) would like to announce several ongoing resources offered to you from the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Virginia (NAMI Virginia). These groups are offered to anyone between 18 and 30 years of age. Registration information for each group is listed below.

  • Youth MOVE Virginia hosts monthly Young Adult Meet-Ups on Zoom. This is a great opportunity for our NOVA community to meet with other young adults across the state. These are normally hosted on the 4th Tuesday of the month, but not in November due to Thanksgiving. Registration is required and this group is open to all, aged 18 – 30. Registration can be found Here
  • NAMI Coastal Virginia hosts an Under-30 Connections group. All of their virtual groups can be found Here. All their groups are open to everyone across the state.
  • NAMI Central Virginia hosts a group for Under-30 as well and are open across the state. Information can be found Here.
  • Youth MOVE Virginia has opened applications for our new resiliency training. This is a great opportunity to learn more about resiliency and leadership, as well as get connected with other youth and young adults across Virginia. Information about this group can be found Here

NAMI Virginia’s Instagram and Facebook accounts will advertise opportunities for youth and young adults across the state and even some that are country-wide.
