Chancellor Awards Applications Due Dec. 1

The NOVA Awards Committee invites eligible faculty to apply for consideration to represent NOVA as applicants for the Chancellor’s awards listed below.

Chancellor’s Faculty Fellowship Program
Provides paid leave and tuition assistance for doctoral degrees in leadership/higher education or discipline specific programs. The fellowship provides $7,500 in tuition assistance and a leave of absence of up to one-year to pursue full-time graduate study. It pays the recipients three-quarters of their salary during their leave with continuation of insurance, retirement, seniority and other employee benefits. 

Chancellor’s Commonwealth Professorship Program
Provides release time and funding for reimbursable expenses and stipends over a two-year period for faculty members to complete a self-directed educational project. Recipients can receive up to $7,500 in reimbursable expenses related to their teaching/learning project, and release time for four courses over a two-year period. 

The internal deadline to submit nomination packets is Tuesday, Dec.1, 2020. Applications must be submitted to Jennifer Kasse at jkassewanzer@nvcc.edu.
