New NATs System Go-Live Date Delayed
The go-live date for the new NATS system has been delayed to January 25, 2021, due to a critical system-specific difference between NOVA’s current system and the VCCS system. Please see below the message from the Shared Services Center.
NOVA’s HR consultants will be reaching out to hiring managers to discuss hiring actions that were put on hold due to the NATS transition. The training sessions in the new NATS system will continue as scheduled.
Thank you for your patience as we continue our efforts to improve processes.
Please direct any questions to Employment@nvcc.edu.
A recent memo from VCCS’ Shared Services Center said the following:
As we are excited to move forward with transitioning Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC) onto the SSC ATS service, both NVCC and SSC have been conducting thorough training and testing sessions. Both groups’ dedication to process improvement has proven to be beneficial in identifying college-specific needs and improving overall system usage.
Most recently, the NVCC group identified a critical system-specific difference between the NVCC’s current PeopleAdmin instance and the VCCS PeopleAdmin instance. This difference is required to maintain the current level of confidentiality for a user’s permission to access position information and pay action transactions. Please note that any changes made to the VCCS instance could affect other colleges and/or the current HRMS integration so all resolutions are being considered. The requirement has been escalated to PeopleAdmin for resolution.
To provide the groups ample amount of time to review options and test resolution, the scheduled go-live for December 10, 2020, will be moved to January 25, 2021.
