Sign Up for Spring Workshops on Hybrid and Online Teaching

If you are going to teach a hybrid course at NOVA for the first time, you are required to complete the Hybrid Certification Course, a four-week asynchronous online course offered via Canvas. NOVA Online has scheduled three sessions for the spring semester as follows:

• Hybrid Certification Course (Session 1): Monday, Jan. 18 – Sunday, Feb. 14
• Hybrid Certification Course (Session 2): Monday, Feb. 15 – Sunday, March 21 (an extra week is added due to spring break)
• Hybrid Certification Course (Session 3): Monday, March 29 – Sunday, April 25

We’ll also offer two asynchronous online workshops about online teaching via Canvas, including a new workshop – Providing Quality Feedback for Online Learners:

• Effectively Facilitating Online Discussions: Monday, Feb. 8 – Sunday, Feb. 14
• Providing Quality Feedback for Online Learners (Section 1): Monday, March 22 – Sunday, March 28
• Providing Quality Feedback for Online Learners (Section 2): Monday, April 12 – Sunday, April 18
