Black Women Lead Series for Black History Month Continues Feb. 18
The Annandale Lyceum Committee continues its Black Women Lead Series for Black History Month, part of our Lunch and Learn Sessions via Zoom. This event is the third of the four-part series and will be held on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 12:30 p.m.
Karen Campblin, executive director of Green New Deal VA, will present “Healthy and Sustainable Communities for All.” She also serves as president of the Fairfax County Branch of the NAACP. She will discuss how Virginia communities can address inequity and climate change to restore Virginia’s environment.
The full Black Women Lead Series schedule of speakers with registration information can be found on the Lyceum Committee blog.
The final Black Women Lead Series presentation will be held on Feb 25, followed by two other Lyceum presentations for the Spring Semester that include a Women’s History Month Panel in March and a World Autism Day speech in April.
Please register in advance for each presentation and a confirmation e-mail will be sent that contains the link to join the presentation. The Lunch and Learn Sessions via Zoom are open to faculty, staff, students and anyone else who wishes to register for any of them.
