You’re Invited to “Steamed Planet” with Mont. College, March 5

February 9, 2021 / Events

On Friday, March 5, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., join Montgomery College students and staff for an afternoon of “rich interdisciplinary discussion,” via Zoom. Participants will select from among different breakout sessions to discuss the overlapping science and humanities concepts associated with climate change.

NOVA’s Anita Mohan (LO-Chemistry) and Gillian Backus (LO-Biology) will be helping to lead discussions on ocean acidification and visual depictions of climate change through Art. Other topics include: Can the Free Market solve the Climate Change Problems? Documenting and Displaying Climate Change Using Proxy Data Sources and Global Ecotourism, to name a few.

This is an opportunity to meet some of our wonderful colleagues at Montgomery College. Invite your students. All guests (NOVA students and staff) can register for this free event Here.
