Important COVID-19 Vaccine Update
The Commonwealth of Virginia has launched a Statewide Vaccine Pre-Registration System to provide a unified and comprehensive process for people in Virginia to pre-register for the COVID-19 vaccine. As a result, the Virginia Department of Health directed all local health districts to close their pre-registration forms and surveys at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, and to replace them at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, with a link to the new statewide system. Existing wait-lists were imported into the new system. All individuals who previously completed a survey or form or signed up to be placed on a wait-list to be vaccinated through their local health district were automatically imported into the new statewide system. Individuals will maintain their place in line and should now be able to search (link below) for their name to ensure they are in the new system.
All NOVA employees who are Virginia residents and seeking vaccination should register at the link below immediately unless they have already registered themselves individually on their county or city vaccination sites. Because of the change in the state’s system, NOVA is not able to submit names of employees for registration, so please be certain to register yourself on the Virginia site below.
Please note: Fairfax County has opted out of the statewide system. Therefore, if you live in Fairfax County, or any of the incorporated towns and cities within, you must register for vaccination with the Fairfax County Health Department.
All other Virginia residents can register through the State system at https://vaccinate.virginia.gov/.
