Today at 11:30! Join the 2020 Economic Trends in No. Virginia Webinar
Join NOVA Workforce TODAY at 11:30 a.m. for a webinar on economic and labor force trends in Northern Virginia during 2020.
Over the last year, stories of how the national economy has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic have become a regular part of the evening news—we’ve become almost as accustomed to hearing weekly unemployment numbers as we have daily COVID-19 case totals and infection rates. But just as we are regularly reminded that COVID cases vary significantly by state or city, the pandemic’s economic impact has looked very different from region to region.
So, how has Northern Virginia fared compared to the rest of the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, the rest of the state, or the rest of the country? A new report from NOVA’s labor market research team looks back at the economic trends in our region during 2020 and considers what this data may mean for its ongoing recovery.
This webinar will review the report’s main findings, as well as the tools and resources NOVA Workforce makes available for faculty and staff to better understand the local economy and to use in advising students on regional career opportunities.
