Final Week of Black History Month–Updated Event List

February 24, 2021 / Events

The events of the past year have brought the continued struggle of Black men and women to the forefront of our minds. This week, we invite members of the NOVA community to participate in an event focused on the acknowledgment of Black lives, the exploration of historical issues of importance to people of African descent and to the continued efforts toward improving race relations in America.

Since 1926, Carter G. Woodson and the Association for the Study of African American Life and History has provided a national  theme for Black History Month. This year, the theme is The Black Family: Representation, Identity and Diversity.
