A New Workshop to Sharpen Your Online Teaching Skills

March 16, 2021 / Tech Notes & Training

Feedback is an essential component in teaching. When your students are learning at a distance from you, it’s more challenging to provide them with quality feedback in an online environment. To help faculty sharpen skills in online teaching, NOVA Online will offer a new workshop – Providing Quality Feedback for Online Learners. The first session will start on Monday, March 22 and registration will be closed by Saturday, March 20.

This one-week workshop is delivered asynchronously in Canvas to accommodate faculty’s busy schedule. Workshop participants can learn anytime anywhere based on individual’s personal schedule. Targeting faculty who teach online courses, the workshop will be also beneficial to faculty who teach hybrid courses and remote courses during the pandemic time. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to

– identify effective feedback strategies to help students learn
– develop different methods to provide quality feedback online in your courses

You can register for the workshop here using Online Teaching link. Questions about this workshop? Email Dr. Hong Wang.
