NOVA’s Annual Green Festival with Keynote Speaker, Dr. Wallace “J” Nichols, Keeper of the Sea”

Northern Virginia Community College will host its 11th annual Green Festival on Wednesday, March 24th, with a full roster of events from 10:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This year’s theme is ‘Restore the Earth: A Discussion on the Interconnections and Relationships Between Humans and Natural Processes’. Historically, the festival has attracted hundreds of attendees concerned about the environment and sustainability.

The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Wallace “J” Nichols, marine biologist and ocean activist who is famously known by GQ Magazine as a “Keeper of the Sea”. Nichols will talk to the NOVA community on ‘How Being Near, In, On, or Underwater Can Make You Happier, Healthier, More Connected, and Better at What You Do.’ He is an innovative bestselling author and entrepreneurial scientist whose work centers around his wild water advocacy.
