NOVA Student Savings Challenge
Saving money for emergencies before they happen is important, now more than ever. As we begin Financial Literacy Month, NOVA’s Financial Stability and Advocacy Centers have partnered with the NOVA Foundation to stress the importance of saving for emergencies by issuing a Savings Challenge to NOVA students. The NOVA Foundation is excited to encourage our students to establish a solid financial foundation. For every dollar saved, the NOVA Foundation will match that savings (up to $250). Register and join your host, financial expert, Diana Yacob, as she supports you through the challenge.
Available to the first 40 students to sign up and complete the application. That is up to $10,000 in financial support from the NOVA Foundation.
The match will be in the form of a scholarship, credited to the student’s account. The SAVERLIFE program will be used to track student’s saving efforts. Confirmed participants will receive a welcome email and video recording which explains Challenge rules and how students will be able to earn the maximum match of $250.
To be eligible, the student must:
- Be registered and confirmed to participate in the savings challenge
- Be currently enrolled in at least one course at NOVA
- Receive some type of income (paycheck, unemployment benefits, etc.)
Registration closes April 14. Please register here.
