COVID Vaccination Not Eligible for PHEL

Public Health Emergency Leave (PHEL), while intended for COVID-related purposes, should not be used for getting the COVID vaccine or for recovering from the vaccination. Per VCCS, this is not a valid use of PHEL. If you need to schedule time off to get your vaccine, or for recovering from any side effects from receiving the vaccine, you will need to use your annual, sick or personal leave.
