NOVA Seeks Interim Director of Academic Planning and Advising!
College-wide Student Services congratulates Dr. Keri Bowman on her recent appointment as Interim Dean of Student Success at the Medical Education Campus. During this time, NOVA is seeking an Interim Director of Academic Planning and Advising, from approximately May 17, 2021 through December 2021.
The Interim Director of Academic Planning and Advising has the responsibility for ensuring the highest quality of academic advising services are provided to students in order to ensure holistic support. The interim director will work collaboratively with the campuses, Academic Affairs and Student Affairs and will continue the work related to advising’s reorganization, implementation of strategic initiatives, and rollout of the college-wide advising model (once approved). The interim director must hold a master’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution in a related field and have at least three years of progressive administrative responsibility, including personnel supervision and budget management.
NOVA employees who meet these qualifications, understand the requirements and wish to be considered for the role of Interim Director of Advising should submit a one-page letter of interest to Robin Muse (rmuse@nvcc.edu) no later than 12 p.m., Friday, May 14. Please include in the subject line, “Interim Director of Advising.” The interim director will be selected by the AVP of Engagement and Retention from the pool of qualified individuals expressing interest.
