Reduce Monthly Healthcare Premiums – Take Action During Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment for Health Benefits and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) only, will be from Monday, May 3, through Monday, May 17, 2021. This is the period when employees may choose to change their health plan, drop family members from their plans, add eligible family members to their plans (with required supporting documentation of eligibility),, and enroll or re-enroll in an FSA.
The Office of Health Benefits at DHRM has mailed materials for this year’s Open Enrollment to eligible employees’ home addresses. The mailing includes the annual Spotlight on Benefits, which this year, includes some frequently asked questions and answers.
To help prepare for Open Enrollment, employees may visit Alex – an online tool for help choosing a health plan. Employees considering adding family members to their plan are encouraged to review the DHRM Eligibility Definitions and Guidelines for information on who is eligible for coverage as well as the documentation required to support their eligibility.
Important Reminders:
- No action is needed during open enrollment if no change to your health plan or membership is desired
- Re-enrollment in the Flexible Spending program is required each year for continued participation
