In the Fall 2017 cohort, 60 percent of first-time students successfully completed college-level English within their first year. The completion rate was lower than the College-wide rate for the following groups: white males (59 percent), Hispanic/Latinx males (56 percent), Black/African American females (54 percent), and Black/African American males (49 percent).
