NOVA Seeking Interim AVP for eLearning
NOVA congratulates Associate Vice President Jennifer Lerner on her new position at EAB. With her departure in early June, NOVA is seeking an interim AVP for eLearning to serve from June 16, 2021 to approximately December 31, 2021.
The interim AVP must hold at least a master’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution. In addition, the interim AVP must have experience teaching online and designing online courses, and must understand the various regulations affecting online education. The interim AVP should have project management experience and three years of progressive administrative responsibility, including responsibility for personnel supervision and budget management.
The interim AVP will report to the Vice President and Chief Academic Officer. Acting pay, in accordance with VCCS policy, will be provided for the duration of this appointment.
NOVA employees who meet these qualifications, understand the requirements and wish to be considered for the role of interim AVP for eLearning should submit a one-page letter of interest to Jennifer Kasse-Wanzer in the Academic Affairs Office no later than June 9 at noon (jkassewanzer@nvcc.edu). The interim AVP will be selected and appointed by the interim Chief Academic Officer, in consultation with the President, from the pool of qualified individuals expressing interest.
Please Note: This announcement does not constitute or replace the full search for the next AVP for eLearning. A national search based on the complete EWP for this position will be conducted by NOVA during fall 2021. The interim AVP is eligible to apply. The expectation is that the successful candidate in the national search will begin their appointment as AVP for eLearning no later than January 2022.
