The interim Dean must hold at least a master’s degree in a teaching field within the Mathematics, Sciences, Technology and Business Division disciplines from a regionally-accredited institution. For the period of this appointment, the interim Dean must commit to working at the Loudoun Campus and maintaining an active and visible presence throughout the campus and community. The interim Dean will serve as a member of the Academic Deans Council with all associated responsibilities and will report to the Loudoun Provost. Acting pay, in accordance with VCCS policy, will be provided for the duration of this appointment.

NOVA employees who meet these qualifications, understand the requirements and wish to be considered for the role of interim MSTB and Pathway Dean should submit a one-page letter of interest to Elizabeth Hamrick in the Loudoun Provost Office no later than Thursday, June 10 at noon (ehamrick@nvcc.edu). The interim Dean will be selected and appointed by the Loudoun Provost from the pool of qualified individuals expressing interest.

Please Note: This announcement does not constitute or replace the full search for the Loudoun Campus MSTB and Physical Sciences Pathway Dean. A national search based on the complete EWP for this position will be conducted by NOVA during Fall 2021. The interim Dean is eligible to apply. The expectation is that the successful candidate in the national search will begin their appointment as Loudoun MSTB and Physical Sciences Pathway Dean no later than January 2022.
