AN Prof. Releases ‘Enemies Among Us,’ New Book on WWII History

Annandale History Professor Dr. John E. Schmitz has released a new book. Published by University of Nebraska Press, Enemies Among Us: The Relocation, Internment, and Repatriation of German, Italian, and Japanese Americans during the Second World War is now available on Amazon.

Schmitz has taught history at NOVA since 2010, and he has also taught at George Washington University, American University and Fairfax County Public Schools. He holds a BA in History from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, an MA from NC State, a Master of Divinity in Theology from Virginia Theological Seminar and a PhD in History from American University.

Summer is getting shorter. Pick this up for some compelling summer reading and a cautionary tale.
