NOVA Alexandria Campus Seeks interim MSTB Dean

The interim dean must hold at least a master’s degree in a teaching field within one of the Mathematics, Sciences, Technologies, and Business Division disciplines from a regionally-accredited institution. Evidence of providing academic leadership and building collegial relationships will also be considered.
For the period of this appointment, the interim dean must commit to working at the NOVA Alexandria Campus and maintaining an active and visible presence throughout the campus and community. The interim dean will serve as a member of the Academic Deans Council with all associated responsibilities and will report to the NOVA Alexandria Provost. Acting pay, in accordance with VCCS policy, will be provided for the duration of this appointment.
NOVA employees who meet these qualifications, understand the requirements and wish to be considered for the role of interim MSTB and Pathway Dean should submit a one-page letter of interest to Geri Dolan in the Alexandria Provost’s Office no later than Noon, Wednesday, August 18 (gdolan@nvcc.edu). The interim dean will be selected and appointed by the Alexandria Provost from the pool of qualified individuals expressing interest.
Please Note: This announcement does not constitute or replace the full search for the NOVA Alexandria Campus MSTB and Education & Public Services Pathway dean. A national search based on the complete EWP for this position will be conducted by NOVA during fall 2021. The interim dean is eligible to apply.
