NOVA Seeks Interim Director of Financial Aid

NOVA congratulates Joan Zanders on her retirement and her 13 years of service to the college. During this transition, NOVA is seeking an Interim Director of Financial Aid from approximately September 1, 2021 through December 2021. 

The interim director of Financial Aid has the responsibility for ensuring the highest quality of services are provided to students to ensure that they can apply for and receive loans, grants, scholarships and other types of financial aid and assistance. The Financial Aid office is responsible for preparing and communicating information on financial aid opportunities to all stakeholders. The interim director will work collaboratively with concerned academic and administrative units and will lead the charge to continuously improve student access to financial resources as they pursue their academic aspirations. The interim director must hold at least a master’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution in a related field and have at least three years of progressive administrative responsibility, including personnel supervision and budget management.

NOVA employees who meet these qualifications, understand the requirements and wish to be considered for the role of interim director of Financial Aid should submit a one-page letter of interest to Jackie Artis (jartis@nvcc.edu) in the Vice-President of Student Services office no later than 12 p.m., August 6, 2021. 

Please include in the subject line, “Interim Director Financial AID.” The interim director will be selected by the VP of Enrollment Management and Student Success from the pool of qualified individuals expressing interest.
