Benefit Deductions for Summer Months for 9-Month, 18-Pay Faculty

Benefit deductions for 9-month faculty on the 18-pay cycle are not deducted during the summer.  Therefore, per VCCS guidelines and to ensure continuation of benefits as well as the collection of premiums due for the summer months, premiums for both July and August will be collected in the 8/16-8/31 pay period for the 9/1/2021 pay date. These additional deductions will be processed for all 9-month faculty on the 18-pay cycle who are enrolled in Health Coverage, Legal Resources, Unum Long Term Disability and any other miscellaneous voluntary benefits.

Coding on paystubs for applicable benefit programs are as follows:

• Health Care premiums:  Pretax Hlth Care
• UNUM LTD:  Agy Specific Ded
• Legal Resources and any other post-tax voluntary insurance benefits:  Misc Insurance
