Interim Director of Financial Aid Appointed
I am pleased to announce that Associate Director Tamasha Story will serve as interim financial aid director beginning September 1. Besides providing leadership and support to Pell grants and loan programs, Ms. Story will also provide leadership to financial aid special programs including HEERF, REV and G-3, Scholarship and VGAP, Campus Financial Aid Operations, Communications & Enrollment Services as well as Financial Aid Information System.
Prior to joining NOVA, she worked for various colleges including two HBCU’s (Johnson C. Smith and St. Augustine’s College), Central Piedmont Community College and American University. She is affiliated with several different financial aid organizations including NASFAA, SASFAA, and VASFAA.
She earned a B.A. in Business Administration from St. Augustine College and an M.A. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
She has extensive knowledge of financial aid laws and regulations, has participated in all aspects of financial aid operations at NOVA and will skillfully guide the transition period as NOVA moves to hire a new financial aid director. The permanent financial aid director position will be posted by mid-September.
