Honors Faculty Professional Development Event a Huge Success

August 23, 2021 / Faculty/Staff Highlights

On Thursday, August 19, CETL, with help from NOVA Online, hosted the first Honors Program Faculty Professional Development event. Discussions included the use of High Impact Practices (HIPs), Authentic Assessments and the development of the Honors ePortfoilo.  NOVA Online Instructional Designers Kim Grewe and Caryn Severe helped guide discussions on how to include HIPs and Authentic Assessments in Honors courses. Caryn introduced the Honors ePortfoilo and lead faculty through the template and  guidance videos. Several Honors Program Faculty will be piloting the ePortfoilo in their Honors courses in the fall term.

Thanks to the Honors faculty, CETL and NOVA Online for a successful event.  Meet our Honors faculty.
