Stay Tuned for Tuesday Topics and Bi-Weekly OEM Webinars

This year, rather than Monday Messages, I’m switching to Tuesday Topics. Each week, I will be addressing items that are top of mind for the NOVA community. With this week’s return to classes—both on-campus and virtual—I know that COVID is top of mind for all of us.

I want to ensure that your questions are heard and answered, so beginning next week, OEM Director Tom Mayhew will be running bi-weekly webinars that respond to your frequently asked questions. If you have a question about either the virus or NOVA’s Return to Campus plans, submit it via this link by Thursday at 5 p.m. Your submissions will be anonymous, and Tom will frame each bi-weekly briefing around the questions that appear most frequently. Information about the timing of the briefing will be posted in the Daily Flyer by OEM.

This same process will repeat every other week through at least the end of October, with the link to submit questions being posted in the Daily Flyer (another reason to read the Flyer each day).

I also know that you have questions about the state’s COVID vaccine mandate for employees. Human Resources is in communication with Virginia DHRM about the process, and Associate Vice President Charlotte Calobrisi should have an update on implementation this week.
