New Resources for Teaching Online and Hybrid Courses
As part of a grant project funded by NOVA Educational Foundation to respond to faculty’s requests and need, NOVA Online has created a new resource for teaching online and hybrid courses. This online resource intends to extend continued support for faculty who teach hybrid courses after completing the Hybrid Certification Course and faculty who teach NOVA Online courses. The resources share a variety of practical ideas and pedagogical strategies about hybrid course design, learner engagement, interaction enhancement, learning assessment, community building, and much more related to teaching in an online environment. It also provides an opportunity for faculty to share experience and collaboratively build a community of learning and practices in teaching online and hybrid courses at NOVA.
Faculty who have completed the Hybrid Certification Course in recent years should have already received access to the resources. Simply submit this form if you are a teaching faculty member interested in joining the learning community with a shared passion and goal for effective practices in online and hybrid courses to optimize student learning.
Questions about the new resources can be directed to Hong Wang (hwang@nvcc.edu).
