NEW! GAA with VT’s No. Virginia Campus for BIT-Cybersecurity Mgt. and Analytics, B.S.
NOVA and Virginia Tech (VT) are excited to announce the development of a new Guaranteed Admission Agreement (GAA), designed to assist students interested in pursuing the Business Information Technology-Cybersecurity Management and Analytics, B.S. (BIT-Cyber) degree at VT’s Northern Virginia campus. This GAA details not only the requirements a student must meet to be granted acceptance to this program but also outlines the most efficient pathways a student should follow to maximize the transferrability of their credits. This partnership provides students with the unique opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree from VT without leaving the Northern Virginia region!
NOVA students who meet the following requirements will be accepted to VT into the BIT-Cyber program in Northern Virginia (please note, this GAA is not applicable to students seeking admission to programs hosted at VT’s Blacksburg campus):
- Complete all steps of the formal admissions application process by the appropriate deadlines for the intended term of entry (fall or spring).
- Earn either a NOVA Business Administration, A.S. or Information Technology, A.S. degree.
- Achieve a NOVA cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Non-native speakers of English are required to meet the VT TOEFL requirement or present grades of C or higher in ENG 111 and ENG 112 or 125 taken at NOVA or another VCCS institution.
- Submit the enrollment deposit and official documents (including transcripts) to VT by the assigned deadlines.
For a complete list of requirements, as well as the transfer pathways, please review the GAA located on NOVA’s transfer website.
