Student Emergency Grants Available for Fall 2021
American Rescue Plan (ARP) Emergency Grants are available for fall 2021! Visit NOVA’s Student Emergency Aid page to learn more and to apply, if required. DACA, undocumented, and F1 students are now potentially eligible. Awards should start being posted for eligible students toward the end of September.
Students who were awarded financial aid for fall 2021 based on an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $15,000 or less derived from the 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) do not need to apply for emergency aid this fall. Those students will automatically be awarded ARP Emergency Grants for fall 2021 if they are eligible.
ARP Emergency Grants are available only to current NOVA students and can be used for any component of the student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to the coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or child care. Students also must meet the following criteria to qualify for ARP Student Emergency Grants:
- Students must be enrolled in a program of study
- Students must have graduated from high school, completed home schooling or passed the GED.
For more information, please visit the Student Emergency Aid webpage.
If students have any questions about financial aid, including emergency aid, they may contact the Financial Aid Office.
