Vaccine Disclosure

August 31, 2021 / Uncategorized

Today’s Tuesday Topic is regarding the vaccine disclosure required of all state workers by tomorrow, September 1. At NOVA, the requirement covers full-time and part-time faculty and staff, adjunct faculty, wage employees, volunteers, work-study students and interns.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of AVP for Human Resources Charlotte Calobrisi, Human Resources Office Manager Shabnam Hadi, Associate Director of Web Services Chris LeCompte, Senior Application Developer Carlo Solano and many others, NOVA’s COVID-19 Employee Vaccination and Testing Status website has been operational since last week. In addition to the disclosure form, the site includes FAQs on the implementation, information on the testing procedure and instructions on using the form. The website is part of the NOVANet, our College intranet, so you will need to login to access it.

I found it was easy to upload my proof of vaccination, and I’ve used the site to find answers to some of the questions about the requirement that you have sent my way. As new questions arise, we’ll be updating the FAQs. So, if you don’t see your question, please send it along to PresidentsOffice@nvcc.edu. For example, I was asked, “What if I do not want to disclose my vaccination status?” The answer: If you would prefer not to disclose, you must still complete the form and select that option, and then must test weekly.

Please remember that regardless of your vaccination status, you are required to disclose this information by September 1 (that’s tomorrow), so don’t miss this date.

Thank you for all you are doing to keep the NOVA Community healthy!
