Updates on Two Important NOVA Searches

September 14, 2021 / Tuesday Topics

Today’s topic is an update on the searches for two key NOVA leaders: the Medical Education Campus Provost and the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success. Both searches, facilitated by Greenwood/Asher, have begun.

Initial interviews will be conducted virtually, and finalists will be invited onsite for day-long visits. During these visits, anticipated to occur before the end of fall semester, the finalists will meet with key stakeholders and will provide open forum presentations. As we have in the past, we will gather input on these candidates via anonymous survey, and this feedback will be factored into the final selection. Once finalists are announced, I encourage you to participate in all meetings to which you are invited, including the open forum presentations.

Each search committee represents the diversity of the NOVA community and reflects the scope and responsibilities of the specific position. As is our practice, search committees will include a trained Search Advocate to ensure they maintain a focus on excellence, equity, inclusion and integrity. Additional details on each committee follow, and I thank all the search committee members for their important and valuable service.
