DASH Bus and OmniRide Now Fare-Free for Alexandria, Manassas and Woodbridge Campuses
Alexandria Campus: If you are a student or employee at the Alexandria campus utilizing the DASH bus, all passengers may now ride for free – no passes, IDs, or SmarTrip cards are needed!
Please be aware that DASH bus has implemented a major system-wide change – this includes changes to route schedules and route names.
DASH Line 31 (formerly the ‘AT6’ route) is now the only DASH Bus route servicing the Alexandria campus. Direct and frequent service between the campus and the King St Metro Station is provided every 10 to 15 minutes, 7 days a week. Most Line 31 trips continue into Old Town, ending at the Braddock Rd Metro Station.
Please visit the DASH Bus website for the most up-to-date information and route schedules.
For a more comprehensive list of local transit options servicing the campus, please visit the NOVA Shuttle website.
Manassas and Woodbridge Campuses: If you go to the Manassas and/or Woodbridge campuses and use OmniRide, be aware that all OmniRide Local (drops off directly at the campus) and Metro Express buses ride for free until further notice!
Those riding OmniRide Express (commuter) services will continue to pay fares. However, OmniRide will no longer accept cash fares or cash reloading of SmarTrip cards on board Express buses.
The Manassas campus is serviced by OmniRide’s 65 Manassas Local bus running between the Manassas campus and Downtown Manassas.
The Woodbridge campus is serviced by OmniRide’s Dumfries Local bus running between the OmniRide Transit Center and Quantico Terrace/Fuller Heights.
Please visit the OmniRide website for the most up-to-date information and route schedules.
