It’s Here! NOVAnet on SharePoint Online!

We are excited to launch NOVAnet on SharePoint Online. This new and improved version of NOVAnet includes a fresh look; a modernized mobile-friendly interface and it leverages the latest Microsoft 365 security features, including multi-factor authentication.      

Spotlight Homepage 
The new design features a spotlight homepage, which highlights the Daily Flyer for the latest internal NOVA news. (You will still get the Daily Flyer in your email each day; but you can find it here, too; and you can more easily find Flyer archives in NOVAnet.) You will also see COVID-19 Resources, the IT Tip of the Week and links to our most frequently accessed external resources like the VCCS Career Portal, Payline and the recently launched KnowBe4 security training site. A dynamic News Feed also allows departments to highlight the latest information to faculty and staff on the homepage. 

Improved Navigation 
The main navigation creates a streamlined structure to access information by Division and then Department, by Location, and via Quick Links for frequently accessed internal sites like Human Resources, IT Help Desk, and Canvas & Educational Technology Support Services. The interface is also mobile friendly so you can access it easily on your smartphone or tablet. For the best user experience, we do recommend Chrome and Firefox.   

Integrated Microsoft 365 Experience 
The transition of NOVAnet to SharePoint Online means your @nvcc.edu credentials and the multi-factor authentication that you already use for Outlook, Teams and OneDrive works for a single sign-on experience.     

Checkout New Content  
Over the next few months, the NOVAnet Team will be engaging with departments to develop dedicated sites to share information and events happening both inside and outside their departments. In the meantime, we invite you to explore these refreshed and newly launched department sites.

How to Access NOVAnet
You can access NOVAnet with your @nvcc.edu credentials (you may be prompted with multifactor authentication) via the following methods:

1. Double-click the NOVAnet icon on your NVCC-issued Windows laptop.

2. Go to https://www.nvcc.edu/, select Info For > Faculty & Staff, and click the ACCESS NOVANET, OUR EMPLOYEE INTRANET button.

3. Go directly to https://intranet.nvcc.edu/ or https://mailnvcc.sharepoint.com/sites/intranet
